Association to Testify on MD Financial Literacy Bill
The legislation would require the development of a stand-alone financial education course to be offered at high schools across the state.
MD|DC Credit Union Association president/CEO John Bratsakis will testify before the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday in support of HB99. The bill would require the State Board of Education to develop curriculum for a half-credit course in financial literacy that would be implemented by local boards of education.
