Credit unions reminded Congress what sets them apart from other financial institutions during Climb the Capitol.

The MD|DC Credit Union Association hosted its annual fall visit to the Hill last week. Credit unions shared their concerns that the Credit Card Competition Act would impact credit card security, limit competition, and benefit big retailers — not consumers as intended. Other topics discussed included: overdraft programs, the credit union modernization act, and faster payments.

Credit unions also thanked the congressional delegation for its continued support.
