Chesapeake Chapter of Credit Union Internal Auditors

 

This is a specialized group of internal auditors that meet the third Friday of the third month of each quarter (March, June, Sept. & Dec.).  Some, but not all are also members of ACUIA.  Each meeting is organized by the host credit union which rotates through the group.  Membership includes approximately  25 – 30  credit unions from the DC & Baltimore area.

The Collection Roundtable, Inc.

(formerly known as: Capital Area Collection Managers Roundtable)

The Mission of the Collection Roundtable, Inc.,  is to "Promote effective and sound collection methods throughout the financial industry by serving as a resource of collection knowledge, experience, and skills. We will promote our principles through education and assistance to any group or individual desiring to increase responsible credit and collection practices."

The group was formed at the direction of the Baltimore/Washington/Northern Virginia area credit union CEOs, coming from a discussion during an informal credit union meeting held in January of 1990.  Known initially as the Capital Area Collection managers Roundtable, the group was Incorporated in the fall of 2006, and became known as The Collection Roundtable, Inc.

Lending Roundtable

 

Lending Roundtable members general meet quarterly, on the third Thursday of the month.  This group engages in discussion topics covering loan underwriting guidelines and general operating procedures. These sessions provided attendees with additional resources and informative information.

Trainers’ Roundtable

The Trainers’ Roundtable is a group of trainers from Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland.  The Roundtable meets every other month at a different credit union on a schedule that varies according to the sponsoring credit union’s training schedule that month. 

Roundtable members discuss items of interest to trainers including course content, types of courses, orientation options, speakers for Columbus Day or other training days, recommendations for the best online training program, and any other topic that is of interest to the group at the moment.  Agenda items are often suggested by the group prior to the meeting.
