Credit Union Leaders Rub Elbows with Maryland State Legislators

Over 40 members of the Maryland General Assembly were on hand Tuesday evening, February 7, for MDDCCUA’sAnnual Maryland Legislative Reception. The event was held at the Governor Calvert House in Annapolis. 

The evening was a huge success as members of the General Assembly had an opportunity to meet new MDDCCUA CEO John Bratsakis and hear about all of the things that credit unions are doing to help consumers across the State of Maryland. Furthermore, the evening gave MDDCCUA an opportunity to discuss the Association’s legislative agenda with legislators and credit union leaders. 

Prominent legislators in attendance included Senate Minority Whip Ed Reilly, House Deputy Majority Leader Dan Morhaim, Senate Rules Committee Chair Kathy Klausmeier, several members of the Senate Finance Committee, and several members of the House Economic Matters Committee.
