Conferences
MDDCCUA holds three major conferences each year which include the Leadership Forum, Connections Conference and the Volunteer Leadership Conference. They provide insight, education and the opportunity to network with peers.
The Connections Conference
Join us for MDDCCUA's 2010 Connections Conference (formerly known as the Annual Meeting and Convention) at the Baltimore Convention Center June 23-25, 2010. It will be an event full of educational and networking opportunities for credit union management, staff and volunteers.
After a great deal of feedback from our credit unions, we've brought back golf, tennis and the crab feast. Our keynote speaker, Anirban Basu, is back by popular demand to share his insights.
New in 2010 are educational tracks for key areas... Lending, Marketing, Compliance, Volunteer, Governance and Collections. These sessions will give participants the opportunity to network with others within these functional areas.
Registration will open soon. Early Bird pricing will be $275 for CUs over $35 million in assets until March 23. Other pricing is as follows:
$295 - CUs over $35 million in assets (after 3/23/10);
$195 - CUs under $35 million in assets
$ 95 - CUs under $10 million in assets

Volunteer Leadership Conference
MDDCCUA and the Delaware Credit Union League partner annually to present the Volunteer Leadership Conference the last weekend of October in Ocean City, MD. The VLC provides Credit Union Board members, management and committee members with a unique opportunity to network with peers, hear updates on regulatory issues, and receive training from nationally recognized speakers.
The 13th Annual Leadership Conference, held in October 2009, attracted a record crowd of well over 200 participants at the Clarion Hotel. The impressive list of speakers included CUNA President Dan Mica, NCUA Board member Gigi Hyland, and nationally recognized marketer Becky McCrary.
Breakout sessions included BSA Training, Board Governance, Due Diligence, Compliance, and other topics. Thanks to those credit unions that sponsored the annual event through participation and sponsorship.
