Money One FCU Celebrates Opening of Its Second Branch

Money One (MOFCU) held a Grand Opening Celebration with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June 16, 2010, as the official opening of its College Park Branch.  The 2500 square foot branch mirrors the main Largo branch with new technology, enhanced security features, Remote Teller Stations, a drive-up and ATM lane, plus an outside walk-up ATM. The branch is located at 6107 Greenbelt Road, College Park, MD 20740.  The additional branch provided jobs for seven people.


We chose this location based on the retail environment and the convenience for our members and the community, said Debra P. Connors, President/CEO.  We are happy to have a presence in the community and look forward to bringing low loan rates, higher savings rates and affordable banking services.  Money One is also ready to provide banking benefits to the Hispanic community with a staff of 5 bilingual employees. “


The event was attended by Money One’s Board & Supervisory Committee, CEO,  Staff, former KC Council FCU Board members, Vendors and Special Guest Speakers that included the Deputy State Director to Senator Ben Cardin, Special Assistant to Senator Barbara Mikulski, Special Assistant to Congressman Steny Hoyer and Special Assistant to Jack Johnson Prince Georges County Executive.
