Martin Breland has been a member of Tower Federal Credit Union’s senior management for over 20 years and has been President/CEO of Tower for the past 15 years.

Tower’s business model is deeply rooted in credit union philosophy—Tower develops very deep and long-lasting member relationships by providing terrific value and service, and consistently acting in its members’ best interests.

In addition to leading Tower, for the past several years Martin has served on the MDDCCUA’s Governmental Affairs Committee, NAFCU’s Federal Legislative Committee, the board of the Credit Union Auto Lending Network, and The Filene Research Council.  The Filene Research Council helps identify, prioritize, and critique current research needs and efforts for the credit union industry nationally.

Martin brings ongoing knowledge of credit union legislative and regulatory issues, financial marketplace trends, and challenges and opportunities facing credit unions.  He would like to contribute to the Association’s and its member credit unions’ continuing success.

A native of Alabama, Martin graduated at the top of his class from the University of Alabama with a degree in Banking and Corporate Finance.  He also completed post-graduate work at Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking, and received an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
